Paradise Hotel Hotspot – Mykonos Bay Hotel, Greece
#Best Honeymoon Destinations 2016
It was our first time in Mykonos and we stayed at a magical place, where relaxation is pure and happens every second, either you are in your room, by the pool or on the beach. The Mykonos Bay Hotel has it all, and we fell in love…
MYKONOS BAY FEELING
Upon arrival, the friendly staff took our luggage and guided us to the reception, where the hotel offered a complimentary welcome drink and looking around, we found ourselves in a place with beautiful minimalist interoir design and typical Greek architecture, all in white & blue with beautiful details in every corner. It felt like arriving in a place called heaven.
Situated right on Megali – Ammos beach, is in close proximity of Mykonos town and all the action and nightlife that Mykonos offers, being at the same time a peaceful gateway for relaxation and rest.
And then, the door opened to our room… It was all white in a stylish Cycladic minimal architecture with a huge king size bed, wonderful bathroom with rain shower, steam room, private balcony with direct sea view overlooking the Aegean Sea and indoor Jacuzzi. The superior sea view suite has everything one can dream of! Things we also loved: the Nespresso coffee machine in our suite, free Wifi, well equipped mini bar, the comfortable slippers & bathrobe and the great menu of the room service!
After investigating our beautiful suite, we went down to the big pool, that is filled with salt water from the sea. It has the perfect size to take a good swim (most pools are rather tiny in Mykonos), and so we spent an afternoon there, swimming and dazing. The sun loungers are so cosy that you might take a longer nap in the shade, provided by the big straw parasol. Reading a book with a nice Greek cold coffee right there is pure relaxation.
There are also free sunbeds with parasols on the beach offered by the hotel which is just a few steps away from the pool.
Back in the room, we had one of the most beautiful sunsets with a drink from the minibar, before we walked to the Mykonos town, which is just 10 min by foot. Nightlife is busy in Little Venice, and we had the best cocktails on the island at Scarpa, which is a bar with great electronic music, just next to the sea.
For dinner we had some quality food with organic and local products at the bio beach restaurant ‘Nice n Easy’! The moussaka and the baby squids were more than tasty, that’s why we went to another restaurant of the Nice n Easy group the next day, which just openend. Read more in our spacial article about the restaurant Nesaea..
When it comes to clubs, we’ve been told that the Astra, an upscale lounge and terrace bar with great music, is the place to go. We confirm! And all these nice restaurants and bars are just a step away from our lovely Mykonos Bay Hotel.
MYKONOS BAY BREAKFAST
My perfect big fat Greek breakfast: fresh Greek salad, yummy Greek pastries (salty & sweet), Greek yoghurt with local honey, Greek cheese, fresh juices and fruits and tasty Greek bread! The breakfast buffet is more than satisfying and a perfect start for the day!
Big plus: The Mykonos Bay hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus transportation between the airport or the port to the hotel upon arrival and departure.
We highly recommend this place, you should also try how a moment feels in paradise…
It’s the perfect Honeymoon destination.
THANK YOU to the staff for unforgettable stay!
