Magnifique Cocktails + Snacks in Paris – We tried them
An ordinary Friday in Paris.
Where to go?
It was finally hot outside (Paris took its time this year), and what is better than taking a walk in Paris, when summer has arrived and everyone is outside, having a little ‘apéro’ in a bistro… simply nothing. Paris is, for sure, at least among the top 3 when it comes to the most beautiful cities in the world. It’s my personal choice and blessing to live and work here.
In general, for everyone who comes to visit Paris, my advice is to avoid touristic places. Don’t go to for food and drinks directly around the famous places like Champs Elysée or Notre Dame. Take a little walk and explore the little streets and non tourist areas.
Locals know best. That’s a Nr. 1 rule. In Paris, locals seem to be a little more ‘shy’ towards tourists, so do not expect to get an answer straight away, when you ask a Parisian where to eat or have a good drink.
Therefore, we are here.
And the answer is:
Badaboum. Simply, Badaboum.
We went there to try their famous cocktails, which are very much recommended by locals.
This place is perfect to enjoy an evening where you are surrounded by a charming 60’s interior design with cocktails you’ll find nowhere else. We were hungry and thirsty, so we started with two cocktails and 2 snacks, because this bar offers besides their famous cocktails some super delicious ‘snacks’, as they call them. Well, they are snacks, just better. It’s a fusion kitchen, a mix of French, European and American food. We first tried the ‘Fish & Chips from Paris‘ (8€) and the ‘Tramezzino Savoyard‘ (7€) (toasted bread with bresaola, potatoes, cheese and dill pickle) with 2 cocktails – ‘La Parisienne‘ (13€) and the ‘Bloody Mex‘ (13€), both more than delicious!
This selection was too good and was leaving us wanting more, so we tried the ‘Hotdog from Toulouse‘ (8€) with fries with the very tasty ‘Bristish Summer‘ cocktail (12€).
Then chef Walid S. offers a menu inspired by his travels and street food. His mastery of cooking and associations of original flavors is the legacy of his experiences in London, Melbourne and Paris.
The chef proposes a varied cuisine of healthy, creative and refined tastes. When in Paris, you should definitely need to try this hotspot.
It’s hard to imagine how relaxed and happy we have been, sitting in a cosy vintage chair at the open windows and enjoying this lovely food with some tasty drinks during a warm summer evening in Paris.
The entry is free until 23h on the weekends, afterwards the place is getting more crowded as concerts and gigs are starting. It’s a very good choice to spend a great evening in Paris, with good ‘snacks’, drinks and music.
The Badaboum Cocktail Bar is just right to complete the day, or start the night…
