Loro Piana Summer Resort 2024 Collection

With the Summer Resort 2024 collection, Loro Piana catches an ocean current and gets carried away to an exotic island ringed with white-sand beaches and dotted with straw-roofed bungalows nestled in gardens of hibiscus. A mid-century surfer-style vibe comes through in a wardrobe that adds bohemian flair to Loro Piana’s timeless elegance, uniting classic and contemporary influences in a harmonious blend.
La vie heureuse – the happy life, as Tahitians say – inspired Loro Piana to create a resort wardrobe with simple, pure lines, a relaxed fit, featuring unique details, in a colour palette that goes from deep blue to shades of kummel, juxtaposed with multicoloured stripes and all-over Tree of Life or Hibiscus Flower prints.

Added to the mix are the finest materials, unique fabrics created by Loro Piana, masters at transforming the noblest of natural fibres into luminous, impalpable, cool silks, linens and cottons. The linen garments – in the Maison’s exclusive and iconic Solaire and Antigua finishes – is impeccable yet easy-going, contemporary and distinctively classic. Flowing, refined silhouettes in linen epitomise the freedom of summer. Examples for her: the jumpsuits in linen or silk floral prints; for him, the Spagna Jacket in Antigua linen, a more casual version of one of the Loro Piana Icons.

Volumes are full, loose, shapes are versatile: for men, bermudas, caftans and overshirts in textured weaves; and for women, wide-legged trousers, wrap skirts and kimono-sleeved cropped T-shirts, as well as vests and shorts embroidered with aloe-fibre-and-cashmere thread. New accessories, like the cherry-wood wicker basket, the straw hats and the leather sandals – including the Naha slipper with three straps with embossed details – evoke a retro spirit of summer nostalgia, while the Arakawa cap in Mulberry silk and the Floaty moccasin in macramé pay homage to Loro Piana’s artful way with knitwear. Finally, destined to be one of the most-wanted items of the season is the new Cedar bucket bag, a perfect encapsulation of the Maison’s savoir faire. It’s made of Rounded Calf leather and natural rattan hand-woven on looms; the two pieces are sewn together with the same leather, while the adjustable handle is in double leather with two large metal clasps. The frog closure is inspired by Loro Piana’s iconic cedar ball.
