Hotel Hotspot in Milano – Starhotels Rosa Grand
The last time we were in Milan for fashion week issues. This time we traveled to Milan to visit the city, in order to find the best restaurants and hotels in town. In Milan it’s best to be close to the Duomo because from there you can go pretty much anywhere throughout the city.
We were lucky to check out the Starhotels Rosa Grand this time. First of all it’s just 15 min by taxi from Linate airport, which makes traveling really easy. There is nothing better than being able to relax almost immediately after a flight!
Second, the location could not be better! It is a few footsteps away from Duomo, the Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II, the historic center, Brera, a few minutes by tram to Navigli and to many of the most interesting sights. I used to study close to Via Montenapoleone, and I was more than happy that it took me just a few minutes to walk to the shops and little Cafes.
The Rosa Grand hotel perfectly captures Milan’s mix of the innovative and the inspiring. The refurbished interior exudes Italian craftsmanship with each of the 330 rooms fusing impeccable comfort with chic Italian style.
Thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind, the rooms and suites showcase the best in Italian design. The rooms are decorated in three different styles, but they all reflect Milan’s fame as one of the world’s fashion capitals. As well as their contemporary elegance, their boutique hotel rooms put you in the historical heart of Milan – many rooms offer fabulous views!
As we entered the hotel, the staff helped us immediately with our luggage and guided us to our wonderful room. We had a Junior Suite which was spacious. Finished in either warm sage tones with rose pink touches, or in a fresh, light palette and featured with a relaxing seating area with LCD TV, a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and a heavenly double bed.

I loved the products by Etro in the bathroom, which I used under the big shower. We felt really comfortable in our room, which had a wonderful view of the Piazza Fontana. We couldn’t have asked for more and were very delighted about the hotel and our stay.
The breakfast had all we needed; fresh Italian mozzarella, Italian ham, eggs, delicious mushrooms, fresh juices and etc.
The staff from the front desk, concierge and the restaurant crew were all very professional and friendly.
As we traveled with my little baby, we discovered a special family program by Starhotels. This program allowed us to get a baby bed within a few minutes!
Easy: all you have to do is let the specialized service welcome you and then take care of everything!
Fun: they have thought of enjoyable activities for all ages.
Safe: they’re on call to assist you with your every need.
Health Concious: the restaurant offers healthy and delicious meals, made from wholesome ingredients.
Experience the Family Program with the new Family Room option—a hotel room especially for travelling families.
— > Furthermore: maximum 2 children under 16 years old sleep free if staying in parents’ room.
We would definitely come back to the Starhotels Rosa Grand, with or without baby.
The only thing we did not like was the fact that we had to leave!
Thank you for the wonderful stay Starhotels Rosa Grand!
