Hästens, the most luxurious bedding brand, sets up shop in Nantes city centre
For the opening of its fifth shop, Hästens, the Swedish manufacturer of exceptional blue and white chequered beds, is moving into the heart of Nantes city centre, at 11 rue Lafayette. Covering an area of 200 m2, the concept store has been designed as a place where customers can discover Hästens beds in a warm and sophisticated setting.
Hästens beds in the heart of Nantes
On the eve of its 172nd anniversary, the fifth generation of the Hästens family is expanding its local presence with the opening of a new shop in the centre of Nantes.
This is an opportunity for fans of exclusive products to discover the classics and new products from the Swedish manufacturer in a 200 m2 space fitted out like a home, in a Scandinavian spirit.
“After opening our first four shops in Paris, Nice and Lyon, we are continuing our expansion in France with the aim of offering the French a Hästens shop close to home. Nantes, with its palpable dynamism and location close to seaside resorts, was a natural choice for the opening of our new shop,” says Edouard DUMONT, Head of France at Hästens.
Since it was founded in 1852, Hästens has established its expertise and high standards in luxury bedding throughout the world. Now present in 45 countries, the brand is continuing its territorial expansion in France with the opening of its new boutique in Nantes, entirely renovated by local craftsmen.
Hästens, top-quality handmade beds
Hästens mattresses have been handcrafted for six generations in the Köping factory in Sweden. They are assembled by hand from exceptional natural materials such as cotton for softness and ventilation, horsehair for ventilation and humidity absorption, wool for temperature regulation and linen for its role in soundproofing and eliminating static electricity.
Hästens relies on traditional craftsmanship to design exceptional beds, renowned for their comfort and longevity, while featuring an emblematic blue Vichy print. Ensuring an incomparable quality of sleep, Hästens beds come with a 25-year guarantee.
“All our products are meticulously handcrafted to ensure their durability. At a time when bed bugs are at the heart of the debate, we ensure that our mattresses are made from carefully selected materials so as not to attract insects.
As well as using natural materials, our beds are fitted with an anti-parasite fabric and contain no allergens to avoid attracting undesirable insects,” explains William BLOSSE, Manager of the Hästens shop in Nantes.
The entire range of Hästens beds is available in the Nantes boutique, from the Vividus, an exceptional bed requiring almost 320 hours of labour by the world’s nine best bedmakers, to the drēmər, the bed created to celebrate the brand’s 170th anniversary, and the 200T, the best-selling bed for Sweden’s royal crown. Customers are invited to take a 30-minute siesta on site to choose their future bed in the best possible conditions.
