Furla: Milan Fashion Week F/W 2016
Furla dazzled viewers this season with the presentation of the 2016 Fall/Winter collection, at Milan fashion week. The colorful and creative designs gave new life to the brand’s standard iconic pieces, like the “metropolis bag”, by incorporating elements and trending materials, such as fur, embroidery, and the color red. Furla has however, historically had a fun and playful brand image, as it is an “accessible luxury brand.” Animal and army print were also reoccurring themes seen throughout the collection. Both of which give a daring edge to the otherwise classic, functional, and conservative designs. The idea of putting a twist on the classics appears to be consistent with the brand’s ambitious growth strategy, invoked to reach a larger and more diverse consumer audience, and enter new markets.
