Festival de Cannes | CARNE y ARENA | Fondazione Prada dinner in honor of Alejandro G. Iñárritu
On Monday 22 May 2017, a private dinner, hosted by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, in honour of “CARNE y ARENA” (Virtually Present, Physically Invisible)”, a virtual reality installation conceived by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, produced and financed by Legendary Entertainment and Fondazione Prada, took place in Cannes. Presented in a world premiere during the 70th Festival de Cannes, “CARNE y ARENA” will subsequently on view in its extensive full version at Fondazione Prada in Milan from 7 June 2017 to 15 January 2018.
At the presence of the President of the Fondazione, Miuccia Prada, and project creator and director Alejandro G. Iñárritu, cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, producer Mary Parent (Legendary Entertainment) and Fondazione Prada’s Artistic and Scientific Superintendent Germano Celant took part in the event.
Personalities from the world of cinema and culture, such as Thierry Frémaux, Cannes Film Festival general delegate, directors Faith Akin, Sergio Castellitto, Alfonso Cuarón, Guillermo Del Toro, Nicolas Winding Refn, Paolo Sorrentino and Agnès Varda, actors Jessica Chastain, Leonardo Di Caprio, Elle Fanning, Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna, Uma Thurman, Jasmine Trinca e Christoph Waltz, artist Francesco Vezzoli, authors and screenwriters Neil Gaiman and Margaret Mazzantini, top model Anja Rubik and producers Benoit Chang, Steve Golin, Paul Hook and David Linde also attended the dinner.
