BOTH Puts On The Olympic Joan of Arc With Its Committed Collaboration AW24-25
Parisian footwear label BOTH signs Joan of Arc’s silver boots opening the Paris Olympic Games ceremony
In paris and for Paris ! The brand who illustrated itself with many collaborations, BOTH, recently came across a new one with dedicated designer Jeanne Friot for an AW24 creation. Giving birth to 2 models declined in different colors, it’s the natural rubber sole and recycled plastic boot from BOTH supporting a belt-made leg (element dear to Jeanne Friot DNA) which fits the new Joan of Arc, carrying the official Olympic flag.
Developed by two dedicated brands for a more inclusive and sustainable fashion, these XXL Silver Boots supported one of the key figures of the 2024 Olympic Games of Paris ceremony: Joan of Arc. Far for giving a classical acceptance of hers, the comity makes her, by choosing this collaboration, deeply current and in echo with the current social situation the brands defend : a progressist woman for a progressist society. From Austerlitz bridge until Trocadéro, she is THE character bringing the Olympic flag and setting the beginning of the Games, the most powerful symbol of a 3-hours show honoring a France very anchored in her time, caring about its problematics.
BOTH Paris develops ambitious footwear with the will to delete gender borders and while celebrating people’s individuality : models go from 35 to 46. Loafer, derbies, kitten heels, boots can be worn without any distinction of gender. Collaborating with Jeanne Friot for AW24 went then as an evidence when we know the queer engagements that drives her for the LGBTQ community, in very request of a more inclusive and representative fashion.
